Debden Herts County Auto and Aero Club Sprint – 15/08/2008

Steven Rattue Debden Sprint

Steven Rattue Debden Sprint

Bit of a change from the usual Rallycross, but racer Steven Rattue also likes to get a bit of practice in his road going MG ZR 160, so after finding out one of his neighbours does Sprints in a Mallock single seater, Steve rapidly got his entry in to see how the MG stood up in the Standard Production class thinking it would easly be the most powerfull car in the class. The rules are quite tight on this class but the car just made it through.

The day before Steve did the usual pre race / track day checks and all was set. Arriving on the day showed there to be some very capible machinery in this class, a few Civic Type Rs and a 1.9 205 GTI that looked like it ment business. After a few practice rounds it was up for the first heat where Steve came in 3rd. Not a bad result but 1 more heat to go! After the 2nd heat although the times were faster still so where everyone elses and Steve finished 6th in class.

Next Sprint is the 5th October 2008 and forms are already filled in and posted :) See club website here-> Herts County Auto and Aero Club
