Ready for round 3 – Blyton night race

Blyton in Lincolnshire will play host to a new aspect of rallycross on Saturday June 11th with the first rallycross championship “night” race.

The event will start at approx 4pm running through till 11.30pm under floodlights.  This will bring a totally new dimension to the sport and add to the unique element to the british rallycross championship, and it will all be broadcast LIVE on Motors TV.

The hortonracing team has made a few small revisions to the Subaru with a evolution of the fueling system with new pumps and swirl pot fitted after fuel surge was causing issues at the last round at Knockhill.

Setup will be crucial at Blyton, so Simon has spent considerable time adjusting the suspension and brakes to suit this very fast circuit.

“Blyton has always been a tough circuit for the team over the years, so this will be the first time i’ve raced the Subaru at this venue.  We are well prepaired for round 3 and hope to be mixing it with the front half a dozen cars this time round” commented Simon.  “The most important thing with this track is to keep your lines tidy as there isn’t much room here for mistakes.”
